Tour Overview

Enjoy 5 days safari in Ruaha national park, safari start from Dar es Salaam and ends in Dar es Salaam. You will be picked from airport/hotel and drive about 6 to 7 hours to Iringa town. Next day you’ll head to Ruaha National Park where you will arrive in the morning and go directly to the park for full day game drive while dinner and overnight at Ruaha hilltop lodge.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Iringa

You will be picked from airport/hotel and drive about 7 to 8 hours to Iringa Town, with a pop-up roof safari vehicle, as you enjoy the beautiful countryside with occasional stops on the way for breakfast, lunch and site seeing the up-country. You shall reach Iringa in the evening and lodge in Iringa town, a pleasant historical small town, overlooking the Ruaha River. Ruaha national park is located 120 km away from Iringa town. You shall have your dinner at 7:30 pm, then overnight at Iringa Sunset Hotel

Day 2: Ruaha National Park

After breakfast from Hotel with packed lunches you shall drive to Ruaha national park, passing through a 2 hours never-ending, rough road. You shall go for a fullday game drive in the park upon your arrival and enjoy nice view of Ruaha river valley, great animals sightings like Kudu, wildebeests, elephants, wild dog, Spotted hyena, Waterbuck, jackal and some birds like the saddle-billed storks, zebra, lions, hippos, hartebeest, impala, antelope, giraffe, buffalo. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha hilltop lodge

Day 3: Ruaha game drive

After breakfast from Lodge with packed lunches enjoy full day game drive in the park and enjoy nice view of Ruaha river valley, great animals sightings like Kudu, wildebeests, elephants, wild dog, Spotted hyena, Water buck, jackal and some birds like the saddle-billed storks, zebra, lions, hippos, hartebeest, impala while dinner and overnight at Ruaha hilltop Lodge

Day 4: Half Game Drive and Depart to Iringa Town

Breakfast shall be between 7:00 am and at 8:00 am, with your packed lunch-box you shall go and enjoy a half-day game drive with great sighting of the animals you missed other days and have your picnic lunch at 1:00 pm. After your lunch, you will be traveling to Iringa Town for resting and overnight at Iringa Sunset hill lodge in Iringa town

Day 5: Iringa to Dar es Salaam

After early breakfast from lodge you’ll start driving back to Dar es Salaam in which you will arrive in late evening at your hotel/ airport
