  • Accommodation: Ruaha River Lodge
You’ll be grateful for the chance to spend more time in Ruaha. You'll never get tired of going on a walking safari, where you'll leave behind the vehicle and step out into the wild. It can be a little nerve-wracking at first, but you'll be walking with an experienced guide and it's very safe. It can be a real thrill walking in this way, and most people fall in love with the experience.
  • Accommodation: Udzungwa Forest Tented Camp
You’ll hardly believe you’re in southeastern Tanzania when you’re in Udzungwa Mountains National Park. That’s because the arid plains that you see elsewhere in this part of the country are nowhere to be seen. Lush forests and mountains’ll surround you instead. When you’re in these forests, listen for the soundtrack of rich birdlife and the 10 different of primate species that make this Tanzania’s richest monkey landscape. Hippos and crocodiles inhabit the Kilombero floodplain, and it is possible to see elephants and leopards. Enjoy superb views everywhere.
  • Accommodation: Camp Bastian Mikumi
Everyone should visit the Unesco World Heritage–listed Selous at least once in their lives. Look for zebra, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, buffalo and wildebeest, as well as elephant and the rarer spotted hyena, leopard and African wild dog. And lions – lots of lions: many scientists believe that Nyerere National Park has more lions than any other park in Africa. Wherever you look, the views are also impressive, with rocky hills, palm-fringed lakes, and the wide Rufiji River running through the heart of the reserve. Dinner & overnight at Africa Safari Selous

After breakfast we’ll depart with a picnic lunch in hand to Kilwa Kisiwani. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its influence on the birth of Swahili culture, Kilwa Kisiwani is a fishing village that was once occupied by Arabs. They minted gold and sold spices, jewelry, and slaves—all while holding parties under the light of the moon. Songo Mnara, a neighboring small island close to Kisiwani, was a Swahili stone town that was founded in the early 19th century. Its comparatively short history compared to its more illustrious neighbor has allowed archaeologists to examine early Swahili houses within a specific time period. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Kilwa Beach Lodge
After breakfast at the lodge, you’ll be transferred to Dar es Salaam with a packed lunch in hand. You’ll be dropped off at the hotel or the airport/ferry.
