Mikumi National Park offers good game viewing year-round. The dry season (June - October) is considered peak season - wildlife concentrates around the permanent water sources and the Mkata floodplain, making sightings particularly reliable. The green season (November - May) brings lush vegetation and excellent birdlife, though some areas may be less accessible after heavy rains. Lion, elephant, and hippo are present in good numbers throughout the year.
