Enjoy 5 days safari in Ruaha national park, safari start from Dar es Salaam and ends in Dar es Salaam. You will be picked from airport/hotel and fly to Iringa town where you will arrive in the morning and go directly to the park for fully day game drive while dinner and overnight at Ruaha hilltop lodge.

Ruaha National Park holds the highest density of lions of any protected area in Africa. The park's diverse prey base - from tiny dik-dik to adult buffalo - supports enormous prides that are active, visible, and frequently encountered. Three full game drive days in Ruaha virtually guarantees multiple lion sightings, often at close range and in dramatic social contexts.
Daily Itinerary
You will be picked from airport/hotel and fly to Iringa Town, where you'll meet our driver/guide with a pop-up roof safari vehicle. After short brief you'll drive directly to Ruaha National Park for a game drive. Enjoy game drive until afternoon where your driver/guide will find a picnic site for lunch. Proceed with game drive till evening and drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Hotel
After breakfast from Hotel with packed lunches you shall drive to Ruaha national park, passing through a 40 minutes never-ending, rough road. You shall go for a full-day game drive in the park upon your arrival and enjoy nice view of Ruaha river valley, great animals sightings like Kudu, wildebeests, elephants, wild dog, Spotted hyena, Waterbuck, jackal and some birds like the saddle-billed storks, zebra, lions, hippos, hartebeest, impala, antelope, giraffe, buffalo. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha hilltop lodge

Breakfast shall be between 7:00 am and at 8:00 am, with your packed lunch-box you shall go and enjoy a fully day game drive with great sighting of the animals you missed other days and have your picnic lunch at 1:00 pm. After your lunch, you will proceed with game drive till 5pm and drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge
After early breakfast from lodge you’ll be transferred to Iringa Airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam/Zanzibar

Best Time to Visit
Ruaha National Park offers excellent game viewing year-round due to its semi-arid climate that produces a longer dry season than most Tanzania parks. The peak dry season (June - October) delivers the most concentrated wildlife around the Ruaha River - lions, leopards, and wild dogs are highly active, and elephant herds of 100 or more converge on the permanent water. The short rains (November - December) green the landscape without significantly impeding game viewing, and the post-rain period (January - February) produces excellent predator activity as prey animals are widely dispersed. Ruaha avoids the April - May long rains better than many parks.
