This tour goes to Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro crater. You have high chance to see all big five while having short time enjoying game viewing in 2 big national park of the Northern circuit.

Why 4 Days Transforms the Serengeti Experience

The additional day in the Serengeti fundamentally changes the quality of your safari. Day 1 covers the vast park, orients you to its landscapes and rhythms. Day 2 allows deeper exploration - the western corridor's hippo pools and Grumeti crocodiles, the kopje country's leopard and cheetah, the Seronera Valley's resident lion prides. Wildlife encounters on day 2 are consistently more layered and memorable than day 1 alone. This is why experienced safari travellers invariably say: book more days than you think you need.

Daily Itinerary

Day1
Serengeti National Park Game Drive
~5-6 hrs drive from Arusha First big-cat encounters Ngorongoro Highlands drive Endless Serengeti plains

After breakfast, depart with your lunch box towards Serengeti National Park, you will arrive at the Naabi hills gate and after formalities you will enter Serengeti and probably the greatest park on earth. This park, undoubtedly the most famous in the world, covers over 14 000 sq. km and offers amongst many other things the biggest concentration of big cats in the world (Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Wild cats…). Many different landscapes can be found in the Serengeti: Savannah with the big plains to the south, hills & woods to the west, the kopjes area to the east, and bush land to the north. Important rivers (Seronera, Banagi, Grumeti ) also run through the park. Many different species of mammals can be spotted during game drives; elephant, buffalo, giraffes, antelope’s… hippos and crocodile can also be found. Diner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge

Guide's Tip: Ask your guide to work the Seronera River before heading to camp.

Serengeti Game Drive

Very early Morning and evening game drives through the Serengeti plains. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra.

As far as the eye can see, you’ll spot thousands upon thousands of animals in herds; wildebeests and zebras migrating together, tall and graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes and gazelles, the powerful African elephant and the most respected group of animals: the predators.

You will have the chance to spot lean cheetahs and shy leopards, foraging hyenas, and last but not least, the king himself; the lion. Dinner and overnight at Tukaone Tented Camp

Guide's Tip: Day 2's evening drive, returning to camp as the sun falls below the horizon, offers the Serengeti at its most cinematic - silhouettes of giraffes against a flame-coloured sky.

Day4
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
? 610m descent into the Crater Endangered Black Rhino UNESCO World Heritage 1979 Africa's Most Reliable Big 5

Today you will be rewarded with a game drive in the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

You will visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands (optional at extra cost) where you will meet the Elders, Warriors, women & children & learn about the culture, beliefs & traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe.

The Crater is famous for Africa’s best game viewing as there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. You will descend 610 metres into the Crater where your safari truly begins. Spot the endangered black rhino, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, Grant’s & Thomson’s gazelle & giant tusked elephants plus lions & leopards, cheetahs as well as scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals & wild dogs. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded within the Ngorongoro Conservation.

Later after lunch you’ll be transferred to Arusha City or Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) for your next destination

Guide's Tip: Begin the crater game drive heading directly to the Lerai Forest on the western floor - the black rhino's primary territory.

Frequently Asked Questions

The additional day makes a profound difference to the quality of your Serengeti experience. With two full days in the Serengeti rather than one, your guide has the time to cover different zones of the park, track specific predator movements across multiple sightings, and give you the sense of genuine immersion that one day simply cannot provide. Wildlife encounters on day 2 are consistently more layered and memorable - you know the landscape, you understand the animals' patterns, and your guide has had time to identify the specific individuals and prides worth tracking. Experienced safari travellers consistently rate the second Serengeti day as the most memorable of the entire trip.
The migration is a year-round phenomenon - wildebeest are always present somewhere in the Serengeti ecosystem. The famous Mara River crossings (July to October, northern Serengeti) are the most dramatic expression of the migration and the scenes most widely shown in wildlife documentaries. The calving season (January to March, southern plains) offers a completely different but equally extraordinary spectacle. With two full Serengeti days, your guide has maximum flexibility to position game drives where migration activity is highest and follow herds as they move. Even outside peak migration windows, the Serengeti's resident wildlife population ensures consistently spectacular game viewing every day of the year.
This safari is ideal for families, including children of all ages. Game drives in a comfortable 4x4 Land Cruiser are accessible to children, and the sheer volume and variety of wildlife encountered keeps even younger visitors engaged throughout. The tented camp experience - sleeping under canvas, hearing the sounds of the African night - is genuinely thrilling for children in a way that lodge accommodation sometimes isn't. LuiTours can provide appropriate guidance on child-safe aspects of the safari, and our guides are experienced at adjusting the pace and narrative of game drives for mixed-age groups.
Yes - an optional Maasai village visit in the Ngorongoro Highlands is available on Day 4 at extra cost. The Ngorongoro Maasai have lived within the conservation area alongside its wildlife for generations - a model of human-wildlife coexistence recognised in the UNESCO World Heritage Site designation. The visit provides a brief but meaningful cultural encounter with elders, warriors, women, and children. For a deeper, fully immersive Maasai experience, LuiTours offers a separate 2-day Maasai Village Tour at Olpopongi Village, which can be combined with this safari as a pre- or post-safari extension.
Absolutely. Adding Tarangire National Park (famous for Africa's greatest elephant concentrations and its ancient baobab landscape) creates a superb 5-day itinerary. Adding Lake Manyara (famous for tree-climbing lions and dramatic Rift Valley scenery) as an additional day builds one of the finest week-long safari options available in northern Tanzania. All extension days are offered at better per-day rates than booking individually. Contact LuiTours for pricing and availability on multi-day extensions to this itinerary.
Contact LuiTours via WhatsApp or email to receive your personalised quote within 2 hours.
